ABOUT

WE TAKE PICTURES FROM ABOVE

Photography a long family tradition, since childhood!

Our Chief Commercial Drone pilot, Stephen, first picked up a stills camera aged 5 and a movie camera, aged 8. He was following in his father, Dennis's footsteps, himself an accomplished photographer and cinematographer.

Stephen when he was a

Diana arriving at St Paul's

Cathedral on her wedding

day.

Stephen, was the first and only cadet at 6F (Romford) Squadron ATC to go solo and gain his Gliding wings in an RAF powered glider, the Venture T Mk2. He completed his Gliding Course with 644VGS, Central Gliding School, RAF Syerston. He took his first air to ground pictures from gliders as a young cadet over 40 years ago. Picture (right) of Romford Town Centre was taken 39 years ago.

He undertook his first commercial aerial cinematography assignment 37 years ago, way back in 1985 when he was commissioned to make a film for an Arab Sheik of his stud farm, which was spread over on area the size of the City of London. How could this massive area be shown? Stephen decided to hire the Barratt Homes TV commercial pilot & his Jet Ranger helicopter. It was a resounding success and the rest is history!

In the early days Stephen filmed from fixed and rotary wing, civilian & military aircraft including the Metropolitan Police's 'India 99' and the Army Air Corps Lynx & Gazelle helicopters in war-torn Bosnia. (A shelled out building on the battlefront in Šuica (Tomislavgrad), Bosnia, pictured below in 1998, taken from an Army Air Corps Lynx helicopter).

More recently we have moved to the very best commercial & professional drones for our air to ground photography, including the DJI Inspire 2 RAW. Shooting at 4K, 5.2K and now 6K with our brand new Zenmuse X7 Super 35mm sensor 24MP camera and 8K Prime lenses. We have both the CinemaDNG & Apple ProRes licences.
